Head of English:
A brilliant school in North Birmingham are looking for a Head of English to inspire and engage students in the exciting world of education. As a successful English Teacher you will possess a strong background and passion for teaching English, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Attributes of a Head Of English
* Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people
* Take on specific tasks related to the day to day administration and organisation of the department.
* Take on any additional responsibilities, which might from time to time be determined.
* Support staff in achieving the priorities and targets of the school improvement plan and monitor the progress.
* Ensure that parents/teaching staff are well informed about the curriculum, targets, children’s progress and attainment in English.
Qualifications a Head Of English Will Have:
* QTS/PGCE that is valid in the UK (Preferably within English.)
* Strong knowledge of the current UK English Curriculum.
* While experience as a Head Of English is desirable we welcome experienced teachers within the UK English sector to apply.
